Instructions about Tanzanian Visa
In order to apply for Tanzanian visa, you will have to submit the following :
Passport: Current and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page.
Application Form: Send visa application completed and signed with your signature in blue ink
Photo: You must submit 2 passport photographs.
Proof of Departure: Submit a computer-generated flight itinerary from your travel agent or airline. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from Tanzania, and flight information
Bank Statement: The bank statement must show that the applicant has enough funds in their account to sustain them while you are in Tanzania. The bank statement may consist of either a print out of your statement (online statement are acceptable), or a letter from the bank showing the balance on the bank letterhead.
Consular Fees: A fee of US $ 100 is charged for 6 months validity.

Foreign currency can be exchanged at airports, commercial banks and bureau de changes in major towns. Many hotels provide exchange facilities for guests. As precaution measure, please don't change money at street vendors.

Branches and ATM of national banks are found in most major towns, suburbs and shopping malls
Standard Chartered Bank, CRDB Bank PLC, National Bank of Commerce (NBC) accept international bank cards, mainly VISA Electron for debit cards
Some of the tourist hotels accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express for credit cards

If you already have unlocked cellphone, you can purchase a pre-paid SIM card from network providers (Zain, Vodacom, Tigo or Zantel) at any service provider outlets
Following clothes are advised for safari trips: Neutrally colored clothes, fleece jackets, lightweight rain jacket, walking shoes, warm sleeping outfit for camping safaris
Tanzania official language is Swahili. However English is mainly used as a business language.
